An adventure in japanese cuisine

One of life's great pleasures is the enjoyment of good food, great wines and exceptional company. One a resent visit to Melbourne Australia, we visited SHOYA restaurant with my brother and his wife and embarked on their degustation menu.

I was a chef for 25 years and as a result I am often disappointed or left flat by my dining experiences. SHOYA impressed my from start to finish, so much so that I felt compelled to photograph and document the entire meal. I find photos of people's dinners rather boring however each course was such a piece of art, I just had to share.

It's a shame you can't lick your computer and sample the exquisite flavours. The presentation, aromas, and delicate textures made this a unique dining experience.

Seared scallops, or do you prefer Wagu beef?
