A quick visit to Sydney

On a resent trip back to Australia we spent 4 days enjoying the sights of Sydney. There is so much more to this dynamic city, but here is a quick glimpse.

On the train to downtown Sydney to see the sights. The Queen Victoria Building is another treat to visit whilst in Sydney.

Manly Beach

No trip to Sydney is complete without a trip on the ferry to Manly. Quite often in the summer months the beaches are visited by Bluebottle jellyfish, nasty little buggers that will give you a painful sting that lasts about an hour. Didn't stop people swimming though.

Back to Circular Quay and the Opera House for a well earned beer.

The rocks are a fascinating part of Sydney with buildings dating back to the first arrival of Europeans in 1788. Beautiful architecture, with the Harbour Bridge as a backdrop.

Bondi Beach

Last stop was Bondi Beach. At 3pm it was 39c, by the time we got to the beach it had dropped 15 degrees and the wind was coming in strong.
